The new work-from-home status quo, as Allen explained, “gave people the opportunity to have privacy during phone calls.” She continued, “People got crafty when creating those spaces, using shoji screens and similar room dividers to hide clutter behind.” Making a home office not only usable but also presentable was one major shift during the pandemic.
